Silsilat Al-Lisan
Methodology of the Lisan Series:
- The Lisan series has been developed for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.
- It adopts contemporary classical Arabic, which is close to spoken Arabic, as it is the language understood throughout the Arab world. In contrast, colloquial dialects are often only understood by specific populations. The contemporary Arabic language is characterized as the language of Arab media in general and as the written language used among all Arab peoples, distinguishing it from other dialects.
- The Lisan series emphasizes application, deriving theoretical rules through practice. All skills and elements of the Arabic language are taught within a practical framework, which ensures retention of knowledge, fluency in pronunciation, and realism in lessons.
- The teaching methodology is primarily in Arabic as the target language, allowing learners to think in Arabic rather than in their native language, thus facilitating the formulation of sentences and conversation fluently.
- A complete digital version of the Lisan series in Flash format is available for classroom use to support the educational process visually and aurally.
- Each book in the Lisan series comes with an accompanying audio CD that includes the texts and dialogues from the book, in addition to listening and speaking exercises.
- A preparatory exercise book has been prepared to support Arabic language students in building the necessary foundations for mastering the language and to ease the obstacles faced by students at the beginning of their language learning journey.
- Initially, students undergo a placement test to determine their levels based on previous assessments.
- To ensure the objectives of the Lisan series are achieved, a teacher’s guide has been prepared to assist in the educational process, explaining the structure of the curricula and outlining the points to which the student will progress.
